What is the best way to track or mark orders that come in via the phone after a customer has been prompted to purchase wine via a marketing email we have sent? Every time we send out marketing / promotional emails we have customers who call one of our team members to place an order, or simply email them directly to place an order rather than clicking through the marketing email to purchase on our website. I am trying to figure out a way to track the total number of sales and $$ attributable to an email campaign when we have some orders that we are manually entering through the admin panel. How is anyone else marking our accounting for these orders?
You could always use a source code, order attribute, or new order type to track the campaign or channel.
