Is there any way to delete multiple contacts at a time? Half a year ago when I got started I decided I wanted transaction data to go back really far, so when I executed the order history import the system created a unique contact for every. single. transaction. This is really cramping my style in List Builder.
So I have many thousands of useless blank contacts with no name or email. Help?
Contact support directly. They may be able to make adjustments on their end, or maybe they can just delete all of the imported orders and re-import with a different setup that doesn’t create dupes.
There isn’t a way to mass delete customers. However, a way to get around this would be to mass merge the customers you don’t want into a single customer (who you also don’t want). Repeat until you’re done merging everyone but the one customer, then, delete that customer.

Even if I go into Contacts and check to select all, at 50 contacts/page I’m looking at 1839 pages of blank contacts to delete… and that doesn’t take into account that I have some sorting/filtering to make sure that I don’t remove non-blanks. I can provide customer numbers of all the blank contacts.
Yikes! If you send over all of the customer numbers - we’ll see if there is a faster way (this would be 3rd level billable support). Send the list over to support@vin65.com and reference this conversation. My guess would be 2 hours billable at $200. ETA would be one to two weeks (would need to squeeze it into our schedule).
Here’s my “solution”: Downloaded all of my contacts. Uploaded the blank ones to a new contact type called “Blanks” that I will exclude from all List Builder lists.
Using the Contacts search I will do a search for all contacts with the type “Blanks” every morning with a cup of coffee, and combine a full page of 50 at a time. If I combine & delete 1000/day I could be done by October!
@danjimerson - If you want to cut that time in half, if you click on the old contact section (see image below), you can select 100 contacts at a time!
