I am trying to use anchors in an email. In the email setup, the anchors and links work in Vin65. However, once the email is sent, the links to the anchors open up a browser instead of going to the anchor within the email. Has anyone had success with anchors/links within an email?
Like with any HTML in emails, it really depends on the client. It may work on apple mail, but not work in yahoo email, but work fine with gmail.
Here’s some data from 2010, I’m guessing it hasn’t gotten better since then.
If you have a paid Mailchimp account, or if it’s in your budget, you can use Litmus to preview your emails in a wide variety of email clients.

Like the homie @rmcguire said, it’s not going to work in most email clients. You can still do it, but don’t craft your email around that functionality.
