I will try and put together a list of things that I feel can improve how the weather hold process functions but would like to start with a simple one. When putting an order into the system, there should be a way to override the weather hold date. For example, if a customer is willing to pay for 2-Day service or refrigerated service, we should be able to override the generic weather hold date.
Longer term, weather holds should probably be tied to shipping strategy or shipping type so that if a customer or sales rep chooses a particular shipping type, like refrigerated shipping, the system will not delay shipment but instead process v. if only ground shipping is selected.
