I’m doing an accessibility audit of a client’s site and am having issues with duplicate ID’s on form elements. They have a mailing list form in the footer of every page that has First Name, Last Name and Email. But, on some pages, they also have contact forms with the same fields. It appears that WD does not have any way to override the ID’s it assigns to form elements, so any fields with the same name on the page with also have the same ID, which is not only bad semantically, but it violates the WCAG 4.1.1. Any workarounds for this?
