Which tablets are best for Vin65 POS? I’ve heard iPads, but do other tablets work just as well?

They had Android support for a hot second, but for all intents and purposes, iPads are your best bet.

We went with the iPad Mini 3, and I like the cDynamo case/swiper combo.

(I’m with Vin65 now, but that’s what we went with when I was on the other side.)

I’m looking for a tablet as well - but not a Mini. What is the latest supported iPad and which iOS?
We’re on UPSePay - which of the mobile swipers: Magteck iDynamo or cDynamo is the most robest?

Hey @CarlaBosco, Vin65 works on any iOS device running 8.1 or newer (though we now recommend iOS 10).

I like the iPad mini 3 but you can get the cDynamo in these flavors:

  • iPad Air, iPad Air 2
  • iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3

Jeff at Change Merchant Solutions can get these in your hands the fastest.

iDyanmo vs cDynamo:

  • iDynamo is just a swiper
  • cDynamo is an integrated case/swiper combo

I recently set up 5 iPad Air 2s with cDynamos. I highly recommend that combo, it’s very tight and integrated.

I feel that the iPad mini is too small of a screen to be used easily. All my staff over 40 complains about how tiny the text on the Air2 is already.

With the Mini4 and the Air2 being the same price, I see no reason to go with the Air unless you can handle tiny text :smile:
