Does anyone delete products once they’re sold out and not coming back? EX: Library wine that is sold out, definitely not coming back into stock; merchandise item that is sold out that we aren’t re-ordering.
As a rule we don’t delete products, but I’m doing through our inactive products and removing them from POS categories to make arranging products easier and am not sure if I’d save myself trouble by deleting. Would it create problems if we deleted things?
Good rule of thumb is to deactivate and not delete. There can be repercussions throughout the system for deleting items that have been sold and might also complicate matters should you ever migrate off Vin65.
