Featured Products, Homepage

Hi,
I can’t work out how to have featured products on my homepage. I use the “Dave” template.
I know how to set a product as a feature, see below, but I don’t know how to make them appear on the homepage. Can anyone help?

[From documentation site: Featured Wines: This is a product group. You can add products to this by going to Store > Products > Click on the product > Categories > Product Groups > and select Featured Wines and then ‘Save’.]
