We have a setup that seems unclear; to enter the text on an accompanying Gift Card (not Gift Certificate), you enter the message in the “Order Notes” text area in the Billing & Shipping portion of checkout.
Has anyone found a better way? Is it possible to rename that text area to something more descriptive like “Gift Card Message (if applicable)”.
Please let me know if you have first hand workarounds to this. It seems unclear to me.
I’m really concerned “pre” order - the Gift Card user experience seems disjointed. The user selects to add a gift card… does not get to edit the message until the billing & shipping page on the in the unclear “Order Notes” text area. Seems wrong to me; the result is likely a lot of blank gift carts.
