Gift Message Length

I see that there’s a maximum 255 characters built into the form field for gift messages during checkout. Does anyone know how many Wine Direct can accept and/or display on the packing slip?

Feature request: Don’t send more characters in the gift message than your fulfillment partner can receive, or than can be displayed on your fulfillment partner’s packing slip.

Would also be applicable to SKU lengths and formats.
