Marketing SMS messages don't show up in manage SMS

Please please please fix this!!!

So since I seem to be the only one currently using the text message feature, I’m going to leave this here for any of you considering upgrading to get texting. I’ll try not to be too TL;DR.

Text messages are a fantastic feature to help with deliverability of orders, so much so I encourage my staff to make a point to collect mobile numbers and opt-ins at club signup.

One thing you might not expect is that since you are now sending a text to your customer, your customers will often respond by text, which means by best practice you should answer text questions via individual text.

Vin65 provides a means to send marketing blasts via text, and this is also how you respond to customer inquiries via a one-time number.

Unfortunately, Vin65 does NOT record outbound “marketing” texts the way they keep track of outbound marketing emails. There is a Manage SMS tab in the Contact, but when you look there you will see all of the System texts sent, and any texts received (this is good), but no marketing texts appear there. You do NOT have a record in Contacts of texts sent (I think this is pretty bad).

Now, all outbound and inbounds texts do get recorded in the Text Message Queue, and you can filter that:

So your workaround could be to just search for the customer name… except that the customer name is not logged in the Queue! You literally have to look up the mobile number to filter it via the To Number.

This is fairly onerous and gets in the way of good customer service if I can’t quickly access what the customer has received from us. That’s why this matters.
