Receipt missing detail?

We were trying to reconcile some POS receipts to try to match up sales that are on the admin panel. We have come to notice that none of the receipts have any real identifying information - namely order number, or last four of the credit card, name or signature.

We print the “print receipt with signature” and alas, no signature appears. Ever.

Is there a setting I am missing?

@cdjohnston, you’re 100% correct. Without spilling the beans, this is getting better very soon. As in this week-ish kind of soon. (And by getting better, I mean that receipts will have more information on them.)

Oooh boy! thank you!

Hi Zach - Indeed, we now have at least an order number on the receipt - however, the print with signature still does not work.

Hey, @cdjohnston. So contrary to what I thought it should mean “Print Receipt with Signature” means, it currently means that you can print the receipt with a signature line and not the signature that the guest just created by signing with their finger.

It doesn’t look like there’s any way to print the receipt with the signature currently.

Tagging @Karson or @tudor for confirmation.

How can we increase the font size and quality of our printed receipts? We can barely read the receipts and each one is about a foot of thermal paper in length.

@jimd Do you have a footer included? We found that adding a footer screwed up the formatting for some reason and ended up not using one.

We do.

I’ll try removing it and see if that helps.

Thanks Erica!

It worked. We eliminated the footer and moved the information from there to the header and now have readable receipts!

Who knew?

You are welcome! We saw this occur last September and Vin65 worked on it a bit. Too bad it is still an issue… receipt footers are a great tool.

By the way - has anyone noticed that NO matter the size of the image you upload for the header of the receipt that it always comes out about 1-1/2" wide?
