I am wondering if there is a way to do a return on a $ 0 transaction or item? I am pretty sure it cannot be done but I am wondering if that is something to maybe look forward to soon? For example, we “buy” bottles from our case room to have on the TR floor for tastings. We do this and under a specific customer those bottles are discounted to $ 0 since we are buying them from ourselves. If there is a mistake made here (ie: wrong bottle was grabbed for this transaction) we need a way to be able to put that back into inventory. Right now I am unable to do that. Is there a reason that makes sense as to why we cannot do this?
$0 orders do not function the same way for returns. We have submitted a feature request and it would help if you did as well. You can use the status tab to cancel the order and return inventory if you would like, but is all or none.
