Running Coldfusion on localhost?

Hi,

I’m tossing a “hail Mary” out there to see if there is not some way to set up a localhost mirror that would allow the vin65 tags to execute without changing the HTML/CSS/JS of a live site.

I had a nightmare adding Bootstrap when advised by a Certified Designer that it “should be okay”. This broke the site navigation and I am still hearing about it months after it was quickly rolled-back!

I’m not really optimistic, but if there is someway to create a localhost (as WAMPServer for WordPress) I am all ears.

Hey Tim,

That would be a “nay” answer. Quickest reason - the Vin65 platform isn’t open source.

They used to have something where the designer launch tags would hit the server and return the html to you locally, but it wasn’t a great solution.

I would try creating a new layout applied to a hidden page, and make a copy of your css/js so you can edit it on that page only and not effect the rest of the live site.
