Action Emails - are they supposed to send automatically?

I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding how action emails work, but are they supposed to send automatically?

Currently, I have to click “generate queue” in the action email setup screen. I thought action emails were automatic? Am I misunderstanding something? I can’t see the value in having action emails be manually triggered.

Action emails should send out automatically. Contacts get added to the queue a certain period of time after the action trigger (e.g. an abandoned cart) and then a certain period of time after that the email will be sent out.

If you feel that they aren’t working, feel free to send in some details to support so we can take a look.

Thanks for your response! What kind of time frame should we see for adding to the queue? Say for a email that should be sent 1 day after signup?

The action email queue is generated daily I believe, so you should see the queue update each morning. Each action email has slightly different parameters on when contacts get added to the queue after the action, and I believe for the club signup it is 10 days before sending, so in your case I believe it would populate the very next day, which is also when it should be sending (I haven’t tested it with those parameters).

Everything is working now, must have just been a glitch in the matrix.

False alarm, all my action emails stopped working completely.

Live chatted with support and apparently there is an issue currently that should be resolved by Monday. FYI for anyone else having this issue.
