how do I remove “Product on Backorder” that shows up on shop page on website. The product is SOLD OUT, with 0 inventory, but I want it displayed on the website until the new vintage is released
You’ll want to change the inventory settings for that SKU. You can change the settings either on a SKU level or for all SKUs using a specific inventory pool.
See the ‘Out of Stock Option’ on the SKU or pool below.
I did the "Don’t See and Display Message option. It does have the custom out of stock message, but it still has “Product on Backorder” show up on the website page to the left of out of stock (where “In Stock” typically shows up) The product is not on back order - it is sold out. Can I remove the “in stock” and “product in backorder” for all of the items in our shopping cart?
You can change the ‘default’ inventory pool that all of your clients would use. This would take care of the ‘product in backorder’ text. You aren’t able to remove the ‘in stock’ text unless you have a web designer hide that in the CSS directly.
If you’re not able to locate the default pool’s inventory settings, you can send over the SKU to support@vin65.com and they can help direct you.
