Wondering the best way to go about selling tickets for club and also to general public for the same event. Club members will be free admission but we still want to be able to have them RSVP so we can get a headcount. General public will be $5.
Should i create a $0 event ticket limited for members only so it prompts them to sign in? Or i was also recommended to use a form on our website so their RSVP is automatically emailed to me. But then this wouldn’t show up on a report, would it?
Hello, There have been some other conversations about this that you should be able to find if you search. I’ve always done the $0 ticket (or whatever the club ticket price is), with multiple skus in the same product, but I’ve actually never put security on it. I think people figure out they need to log in, but I don’t see harm in doing it the way you’re proposing, as long as you have the security set to “display product, show message.” What I have done is put a limit on how many someone can buy of that sku, because we’d say members got up to 4 tickets at $0.
