I came across an article that I wanted to share with the WineDirect Community about a great way to encourage customers to submit Google Reviews about your winery. The article talks about how to create a link directly to your Google Review page: https://superb.digital/search-engine-optimisation/how-to-ask-your-clients-for-google-reviews/
A great way to implement this, in conjunction with WineDirect, is through our POS Order Confirmation Email. In the Admin Panel, under Settings > POS Profile, there is a field for Order Confirmation Email. This is commonly set to use the Default Order Confirmation Email, but you can select a different email document to go out. You can create a new Order Confirmation Email specifically for POS which contains a call-to-action button that links to your Google Reviews. This email will be triggered after a purchase/tasting at the winery, so the timing should work well and make it easy for your customers to submit a review.
Here are the steps to create direct links to Google Reviews:
1. Search for your company by name in Google.
Top Tip: If you’ve got a generic business name you may be hard to find. Add either part or all of your address to your search query and you’ll stand a better chance of showing the knowledge graph for your business.

2. Click on the button “Write a review”.

3. You’ll see a Google review box has popped up, copy the URL out of the address bar.

This will give you a URL similar to https://www.google.co.uk/#q=superb+digital&lrd=0x48718c32cd8ff36d:0x9a6103cc070a8c6e3
4. Shorten your Google review URL.
A nice touch I’ve seen a few people do is to shorten the URL so it’s a bit more user-friendly. Browse to your favourite URL shortening service. Here I’ve used Google’s own URL shortener, however, this service is being discontinued, so I’d recommend using https://bitly.com/.
Copy and paste your long URL into the text box and click “shorten URL”. This will give you a URL such as https://goo.gl/krPtpk .

You now have a nice short URL you can send to clients that will send them directly to leave a review for your Google My Business page.
5. Send to your clients and start getting Google reviews.
Copy this URL and add it into your Email Documents.
