Hi everyone - we are closing out end of month and we had our club ship date set for 12/5 in V65, but we decided to release them to ship early. All of our orders show “Future: 12/5/16”, but when you go to ShipCompliant, they show shipped AND show the tracking number.
Is there a way to get all of these over from ShipCompliant so these orders don’t show as open in V65?
There is an order tracking import under settings. I’ve not used it in a very long time but that would seem to be what you need. You’d have to ask SC or your shipper how to get the numbers.
In the future don’t use future ship date on club orders. You don’t need it because you control the show and SC holds them in fulfillment mgmt until you are ready.
Vin65 checks ShipCompliant pulls in the tracking information every couple of hours. If a future ship date is selected, then Vin65 will NOT make attempts to pull in that information until that date has been reached. So in your example it will start checking on 12/5. If it ships ahead of time, you can manually delete the future ship date and it will then start checking SC within a few hours. Otherwise, ElJefe’s suggestion of using the tracking importer would be a good alternative. Here is a link on how to do an order tracking import: https://documentation.vin65.com/Importing/Exporting/Order-Tracking-Import
You should definitely do this. One of the issues with Vin65’s integration to ShipCompliant is that it does not look for shipping updates until the date on the order is reached. Unfortunately, they also auto trigger a shipping notice on this date when they finally pull tracking numbers so many of your customers may already have received their wine and now they will get a notice that their wine is shipping. This is a known problem. We have asked that Vin65 receive shipping updates when they actually happen and do not wait until the date on the order. This is a problem for us all season as we have weather holds and releases that make the order date less than accurate. Second, we have asked to shut off this auto generated email but so far no luck. Many people change the text in the email to make a more generic thank for your recent order rather than your order is shipping but still we shouldn’t be firing off emails that we do not want to send. If you do the import and the orders are updated, I believe that the unintended email will not be sent.
We had a futures program from last year - that we had anticipated shipping
on April 24th. We actually released them to ship yesterday. If go in and
change the “product hold” to 4/10/17, will the tracking information be
pulled from ShipCompliant since it is no longer a future ship date?

You are correct! If you modify the date that will allow the tracking information to be pulled in from ShipCompliant. I confirmed this with Patti this afternoon. Have a great afternoon!
