Does anyone know of a way to unallow people to sign up for the mailing list if they are already on another list? I don’t want our club members to also get the mailing list blasts.
I don’t think there is a way to do that. When setting up our newsletter list I just selected “NOT” club tiers, so that the club members don’t get the generic newsletter.

I do the same as Lindsey, I create lists with different parameters based on who I want to send to. It’s easy to exclude members that way, or just send to certain club tiers, or just send to local members, whatever your business heart desires.
I’ve never used the newsletter contact type, because it seemed like an extra and unnecessary step, and it’s my understanding that most wineries don’t, though I’ve seen that create confusion for new users.
