New Prop65 Warnings in CA - How are YOU complying?

Hopefully you all know about the new Prop65 warning requirements taking effect in CA. If you don’t, here’s a great article about it.

I’ve added the warning to our compliance advisory for California to comply with the “website” portion of the requirement.

How are all of you complying with the DTC shipment requirement? I have a few ideas, but I’d love to hear what you all are doing.

  • Add the warning as a UPS “doc tag” to all our labels. Obviously wouldn’t work with easyship. Easy, foolproof.
  • Add the warning to all our vin65 packing slips. Easy and foolproof, but ugly.
  • Print small flyers and slip each one into our packages. A giant pain in the rear.

Small Wineries are EXEMPT! Businesses with fewer than 10 employees are exempt from ALL Prop 65 requirements. Therefore, qualified businesses are not required to provide BPA and Alcohol warning signs.

Thanks.
We are adding it to the shopping cart.

I cannot figure out how to add it to the packing slip but that does sound like a great idea.

Here’s how to upload custom packing slips

thank you Ryan
