Product Description with multiple sku's confusion

Why does the Product Description, if there are multiple sku’s, default to the first sku’s name?
This has caused much confusion with our customers ordering tickets. For example, we offer winery tours at different times and dates during any month and created a listing on our site for them using the multiple sku’s each having a different date and/or time for each month. When the customer purchases a ticket for, let’s say July 13th, but the first day of the tours in that Product is July 1st and is the first sku listed, this is what is printed on the ticket that the customer prints out (not what is on the customers invoice), hence the confusion by the customer.

Part of the issue is that if a product description is already in use it cannot be used for another product, understandable, but we are adding multiple sku’s to that description. Would like to be able to have ONE product description and then have the ability to make multiple sku’s for that product, weather it is date, time, color, size, etc.

Also, when we have the multiple sku’s ‘use inventory’, and one of the sku’s sells out, it shows “Out of Stock” on the main listing as if The Product is sold out. Would like some way to note only the sku’s that are sold out individually either on the drop down screen or listing in general. Something like a ‘strike through’ of the sku name or button that changes to SOLD OUT, along with the non-ability for the customer to purchase that sku.

Thank you for listening.
