I am setting up a promo right now based on a certain dollar amount and a carrot to promote it. Not a problem to set either of these. What I noticed though is that the promo uses Order TOTAL and the carrots use Order SUBTOTAL. I can work around this, but to me it would make sense to have both of these the same.
Has anyone else noticed this? I will submit a feature request to have this changed, but thought I would post it here as well.
Update… after many, many trials with the promo it turns out that even though it says Order Total it is actually the subtotal it is using. It also using the subtotal BEFORE any discounts. So when setting your $ amount for the promo make sure it is the amount before any product discounts are applies. ie I had to set mine to $220 so that club members received the promo for a $200 subtotal.
Thanks for your efforts here, this is good info. Promo’s are seemingly random in the way they calculate. This helps demystify things a bit!
