So I’ve had a few confused confused customers when they click on the link to track their package. The issue is that it’s very hard to tell what status the package has, the graphics show steps 1-4 (info received, in transit, etc…) The issue is that it’s not very clear or easy to decipher what status that particular box is at. I can tell because I know what I’m looking for but I’ve had to talk to a lot of confused customers. I think it would be great if I could manipulate that page or if Vin65 would spend some time making it more user friendly.
A nice fat arrow or something would be nice, requested by many at the time the feature first rolled out.
Since that won’t be happening, the best you can do is be up front and try to add text to clarify things. You can also advise them to ignore the confusing graphics…
I imagine that a designer/developer could override these styles and icons for an individual website. @ElJefe would probably add in a rubber chicken. It doesn’t help those that are using templates and relying on the base system. I’ll ping @Andrea to see if she’s able to make it happen on the templates.
That would be my fondest desire!
It looks like the Vin65 global CSS was disabled on your site by your designer/developer. This means that all of our default styles including the styles for the tracking page aren’t being used.
Our default styles arrange the steps in a progress bar format like this:
As James mentioned, you can get your designer to go in and make some style changes to this page for it appear more clear for your customers.
Great, thank you so much for the help!
