I’ve seen a lot of comments in the fb group about swipers. We are starting in a month and I would like some advice on which swiper is recommended for using Ipads. The new case available through USA epay looks like a good solution but if we have two or three Ipads to start and with all of the other costs, is it worth the money to buy the cases for all of the Ipads and forego the other swipers? It seems the others wear out. Thanks for your help everyone.

I would recommend getting some cheap swipers (yes, they wear out) and waiting 6 months or so for better, sleeker hardware that have EMV.
I don’t disagree with @EdFarmCollective, but the ID TECH UniMag II swipers (the cheaper ones) are getting harder and harder to find that don’t have ID TECH’s encryption on them. Only the non-encryption swipers from ID TECH. Depending on your needs, I’d recommend the MegTek swipers. Longer lasting because of the lightning port connector and they will last longer. If you have a lot of credit cards with chips, then it might be better for the cheap swiper until a mobile EMV reader is available.
