POS pins for sales associates

We were just looking into adding the PIN’s for our sales associates but wanted to know if the use of the PIN’s is compulsory after you opt-in to the PIN program? We will need to train staff on this function and would like some flexibility prior to implementing so didn’t want to opt in then have to organize it all on the fly.

When you first open the POS app for the day it will prompt for a user/pass login so that it identifies your business, and then every user after that will just be asked for their PIN and no user/pass field is displayed.

Right below the box to enter the user PIN there is a link with the text “Don’t have a PIN?” so if your user doesn’t have one they just click that, do a full login, and then create a PIN on the spot. Dead simple really. It’s finally allowed me to reasonably turn on the auto-logout after every transaction.

I give this new feature two thumbs up!
