To Elaine’s point, I had to re-use a photo asset and had to upload the identical photo rather than grab it off our vin65 library. Can you confirm or deny that this is SOP?
It’s SOP. I have one header that was uploaded so many times I now have a file named header_111111111111111.jpg.
Since the start of the new send grid templates, I have noticed a lot of problems with images. I signup for a lot of local email lists to see what other wineries in the area are doing and when they have events, etc. I have noticed a lot of blurry emails since we all started using the new send grid. There is something wrong with how it is treating images and I have yet to figure it out.
SendGrid is primarily an SMTP service, focusing on deliverability, that CMS’s can integrate with via APIs for things like transactional emails. It’s not an EMS like Mailchimp really, with a ton of user friendly templates.
With that said, I always presumed that Vin65 built the HTML templates themselves and just built atop the SendGrid APIs, but I do know that SendGrid has templates you can use. Any insight @Karson?
There’s a decent chance the images that are being uploaded aren’t in the size/aspect ratio that the template is expecting. There was a similar issue posted here: https://community.vin65.com/t/image-upload-issues/383?u=sean
The fix for this was increasing the allowed dimensions of the images within the template.
