I need to do some quarterly/yearly reports and keep getting timeouts.
I really don’t want to have concatenate a bunch of weekly reports…

I get that, depending on the report, it can be a massive amount of data it needs to compile. But having to run reports by the month, or quarterly, and then manually aggregating them is not a process we enjoy.
If they gave us a way to say “generate this report and email me a download link when done” I’d be happy. I know this is not hard…
Even the HTML previews impede the process.
Helpful hint: Before you do anything, set the To date to be earlier than the desired From date. Enjoy the error messages as you set everything else off of their defaults, then set your To date.

Oh, we’re more than familiar with that one. I had to show that one to our new Compliance Specialist yesterday and she looked at me like, “You’re kidding me, right?”

Seriously, all I’m trying to do is get a two week sales by date and it’s timing out. I had time outs yesterday as well, and downloads are very slow to create once I actually get a report. What gives?
Lots of data to pull. We started measuring our company’s growth exclusively by how small of date ranges will trigger ColdFusion errors in Vin65.
In 10 years, we hope, it will be the standard in financial reporting.
